Direct Energy Services donates more than $48,000 to Riley Hospital for Children

Jason Ring is the Area VP for this corporate office and has been moved by Riley stories he has encountered in Indiana – both within his office and through Riley events.  He knows the importance of Riley in his community and encouraged his managers to get behind the cause as well.  For 90 days this Fall, his office donated $100 for every new electrical panel, water heater or furnace installed.  By providing a fundraising item for each of Direct Energy Services’ brands – One Hour Heating and Air, Mister Sparky & Benjamin Franklin Plumbing – this office was able to fundraise for Riley across the state of Indiana.

During the check presentation, Riley kid Rosie Tarlton shared her own Riley story of spending her first month of life in the Riley NICU and of living with hearing loss until this day.  She shared that her hearing impairment has not stopped her and credits Riley doctors for saving her life.  Today, Rosie is an active participant in her university’s Dance Marathon program and she encouraged the managers to continue to “dig deep” to raise the much needed funds.

Jason also brought his three year old daughter to the check presentation, saying that it was important for him as a dad to show his children the value in giving back to your community.
