2018 Extra Life Game Day in the Books

And what a game day it was!

The Extra Life Indianapolis Guild hosted a local game day event which brought in around 100 gamers from as far as Bloomington, Indiana in support of their $140,000 fundraising goal for Riley Hospital for Children (Riley).

The event included visits from Riley kids and live interviews from local Channel 8 News. Individuals at this event ate pizza, played games, and had fun, but the focus was on gaming and raising funds in support of Riley.

The total raised by Indianapolis’ local Extra Life team – Gamers for Riley – came to $10,000. This brings Gamers for Riley’s total amount raised to $20,000 for the year.

From 10:00 a.m. Saturday, to 10:00 a.m. Sunday, funds donated to Riley via Extra Life topped $29,000. This makes the total raised for Riley through Extra Life $100,000 for the year.

Fundraisers could be anywhere in the United States as long as they signed up for Extra Life and selected Riley as their hospital. Fundraising continues through December 31.

Riley Children’s Foundation is immensely appreciative for Extra Life and its mission of playing games to heal kids.  Learn more about Extra Life here.
