Love’s Raises Funds to Support Riley Children’s Hospital

INDIANAPOLIS (August 26, 2018)—Now through September 30, Love’s will run their annual 5 week balloon campaign selling balloon icons for $1, $5, or $20 to raise funds for Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health (Riley Hospital), Indiana’s only Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals partner. The campaign will run in all of their Travel Stops and C-store locations.

Love’s will also raise funds for CMN Hospitals on National Coffee Day. Their National Coffee Day promotion is over the course of two days on September 28 – 29, due to the “real” national coffee day (September 29) being on a Saturday. Throughout these two days, Love’s will offer a 24 ounce coffee, hot cocoa or cappuccino (all hot, dispensed beverages are included) for $1. The entire $1 will be donated to CMN Hospitals. If a My Love Rewards member uses a free drink credit on coffee, Love’s will still donate $1 to CMN Hospitals on the member’s behalf.

August 23 at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Indianapolis, Piper (pictured left), a Riley kid diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma in 2017, attended Love’s Division meeting to talk about her cancer journey. She talked about the past year, her Riley journey, and how eventually her scans came back cancer-free. Piper’s story is featured on her blog, Prayers for Piper (Fight Like a Lyon) found at prayersforpiper.com. The website features Piper’s journey at Riley Hospital and her last day as an in-patient. Piper is one of thousands of kids who visit Riley Hospital throughout the year and she, as well as the Riley Children’s Foundation, are grateful for corporate partners like Love’s.

About Love’s

Love’s is a family owned and operated company headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Love’s has grown dramatically in the last 3-4 years to one of the largest Travel Stop chains in the United States operating over 440 Travel Stops and Country Stores across 40 states. Travel Stops are open 24 hours and offer a variety of items for truckers and automobiles alike.  The Love’s Travel Stops are situated on interstates across the United States. There are two different Love’s locations, Travel Stops and Convenience Stores.  The Travel Stops are focused on trucking customers and are located across the interstate throughout the U.S. These locations have restaurants located in them which allow them to raise additional funds whereas C-Stores are smaller and located in the city.

Love’s has been a dedicated and committed partner with CMN Hospitals since 1999 raising over $21 million for 101 CMN Hospitals. Their fundraising efforts consist of a fall balloon campaign, air pump donations, two vendor golf events, a headquarters event and dance marathon sponsorship. Over $15 million of their funds has been raised over the last six years.  This is due to total their growth of locations and the support from the headquarters down to the team members. Love’s is fully committed to continuing to increase their fundraising total each year and to build awareness with their associates.
