Panda Express Raises Over $300,000 for Riley Hospital

Panda Cares, the philanthropic arm of Panda Restaurant Group, has given to Children’s Miracle Network since 2003 totaling $37.8 Million in donations.  On Panda Cares’ website, Andrew Cherng, Founder, Chairman, and Co-CEO of Panda Restaurant Group states, “We contribute to the communities in which our restaurants operate in any way we can.”

Panda Cares has an unwavering commitment to children’s health. Demonstrating this focus, Panda Express has proudly partnered with Riley Hospital in Indiana, a member of the Children’s Miracle Network. Through the round-up method, Panda cashiers fundraise for Riley by asking customers to round their meal totals to the next dollar donating leftover change to the hospital.

With an initial donation of $450 in 2008 to $300,602 in 2017, Panda Express has committed over $660,000 to Riley Children’s Foundation in just over 10 years.

Riley leadership and staff extend their gratitude to Panda Express for demonstrating a strong commitment to the Riley cause. Partnerships like this allow Riley to impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of children each year.
